Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Fred Monceaux, Jr., 96, who died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Troy Duhon officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Roger Monceaux and his wife, Linda of Gueydan; two daughters, Elaine Monceaux of Welsh and Ruth Boykin of Cummings, GA; two sisters, Hilda Broussard of Lake Arthur and Clara Dugas of Lake Arthur; one brother, Clyde Monceaux of Pitkin; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 41 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Gaspard Monceaux; one son, Ray Allen Monceaux; two brothers; and two sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM until services.
