Kaplan—Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Abshire Cemetery honoring the life of Karen E. Hardy, 56, who died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Lafayette General Southwest. She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Keith Hardy of Kaplan; one son, Wade Bergeron, Jr. of Washington; one daughter, Windi Bergeron of Lafayette; her mother, Betty Toups Beggs of Lafayette; two sisters, Janet Putnam of Lafayette and Donna Despain of Lafayette; five brothers, Carl Broussard of California, Dwayne Broussard of DeRidder, Mark Broussard of Lafayette, Joey Broussard of Lafayette, and Brian K. Broussard of West Virginia; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Broussard, Sr.; and one brother, Jesse Broussard, Jr.
