Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home -Kaplan honoring the life of Wallace Vincent Jr., 84, who died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Roland Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mavis L. Vincent of Kaplan; two daughters, Susan V. Richard of Kaplan and Margaret V. and her husband, Johnny Broussard of Kaplan; one brother, Laines "T.P." Vincent of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, Bernie David and his wife, Kim of Maurice, Shane Broussard and his wife, Shauna of Kaplan, Anthony Broussard and his wife, Jennifer of Maurice, Cory Broussard and his wife, Angela of Kaplan, Kyle Broussard of Lincoln, Nebraska, Leah Richard of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Andy Richard of Lafayette; and nine great grandchildren, Colby Broussard, Brett Broussard, Regan David, Bailey David, Peyton Broussard, Gavin Broussard, Reed Broussard, Alex Broussard and Lexi Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Vincent Sr. and the former Agnes Broussard; and one son-in-law, Tommy Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, September 11, from 8 a.m. until services.
