Kendall "Red" Dartez

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Kendall Wayne James Dartez, 50, who died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Dartez, Steve Broussard, Brent Dartez, Darrel Dartez, Brandon Stelly and Sonny Broussard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Dartez and Clay Sellers.

He is survived by his mother, Delores "Sis" Dartez of Forked Island; one brother, Joey P. Dartez and his wife, Maxine of Judice; one sister, Lisa D. and her husband, Steve Broussard of Forked Island; one niece, Katie Broussard of Rayne; one nephew, Taylor Dartez of Judice; one stepson, Brandon Stelly of Lafayette; and his ex-wife, Susan Dartez of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Dartez; maternal grandparents, Esma and Taylor Sellers; and his paternal grandparents, Euranie and Iby Dartez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until services, with a rosary being prayed at 12 p.m.
