Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church honoring the life of Margaret LeBlanc Leleux, 91, who died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Donald Leger officiating the services. Reverend Leger will be assisted by Deacon Rodless Leleux and Reverend Dr. Ross Gender. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Genger, Roy Chiasson, Larry LeBlanc, Roger LeBlanc, Patrick Monceaux, and Roy Pommier. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Dugas, Matt Goodrich, L.J. LeBlanc and Russ Johnson.
She is survived by two daughters, Joycelyn Leleux Chiasson of Lafayette and June Alice Leleux Genger and her husband Ross of Athens; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enson Leleux; parents, Galbert and Emathile Mire LeBlanc; three brothers, Lawrant, Dua and Avlia LeBlanc; and three sisters, Leah LeBlanc Simon, Noela LeBlanc Pommier and Lona LeBlanc Monceaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, October 9, 2009 from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession departs for the church.
