Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Carl Blaine Suire, 25, who died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Kristopher Suire, James Schexnyder, Eric Harrington, Travis Harrington, Mitchell Schexnyder, and Marcus Harrington.

Blaine graduated from Kaplan High School in 2002.

Blaine was a wonderful son and very loving brother, cousin and friend. He also had a great love for fishing and getting together with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his mother, Debra Schexnyder of Kaplan, stepfather, JC Bertrand of Kaplan, father, Carl Brent Suire of Cow Island; one brother, Kristopher Suire of Kaplan; stepbrother, Joshua Bertrand of Kaplan; step-niece, Kaydence Bertrand; paternal grandmother, Betty C. Touchet and step-grandfather, Lercy Touchet, both of Kaplan; godmother, Susan S. Harrington; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Raywood and Louise Schexnyder; paternal grandfather, Roy Suire; godfather, George Suire; and uncle, Allen Suire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. until services on Friday, October 9, 2009. A rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
