Mercedes Vincent Herpin

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Mercedes Vincent Herpin, 91, who died Friday, October 9, 2009 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Paul Roy Eleazar officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Sanford Herpin; her daughter, Vickie and her husband Dale Hebert; one grandson, Trey Hebert; one granddaughter, Shayna Hebert; and her brother, Eldridge Vincent, all of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.J. "Red" Herpin; her parents, Core Vincent and the former Coralie Duhon; twelve brothers, Jules, Albert, Arthur, John, Robert, Romauld, Romain, Eucharist, Alfe, Maurice, Roy and Raoul Vincent; and six sisters, Anna Lee Guidry, Louise Hebert, Olive Hebert, Lita Dartez, Della Guidry and Leola Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, October 12, from 8 a.m. until services.
