The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to her doctors, Dr. Myriam Hutchinson and Dr. Melissa Harrington, for their wonderful care and attention during her illness, along with Abbeville General Hospital's second floor nursing staff, LTAC of Acadiana nursing staff and Acadian Home Care's staff. The family would also like to express their many thanks and love to her caregivers, Louise Stelly and Janie Meche, both of whom Mrs. Hebert thought of as part of her family.

As a two-time cancer survivor, Mrs. Hebert felt that the American Cancer Society Relay for Life was such an important event that celebrated the lives of those who have battled cancer, remembered those loved ones lost, and helped to fight back against the disease. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations please be made to the Vermilion Parish Relay for Life, in the memory of Mrs. Ledora Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
