Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Odelon Mouton, 88, who died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.

He will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Margaret T. Mouton of Kaplan; three step-daughters, Emily C. and her husband Ronald Gaspard Sr. of Cow Island, Beverly C. and her husband Dave Simon of Kaplan, Margaret L. and her husband Ronnie Hargrave of Cow Island: one son, James D. Mouton of Nunez; three daughters, Flaudry Ann Mouton of Marksville, Brenda Faye Mouton of Kaplan, Debbie Jane Mouton of Abbeville; two brothers, Wilfred Mouton of Kaplan, Fernest Mouton Jr. of Kaplan; two sisters, Rose Mouton of Kaplan, Mary Lou Mouton of Abbeville; ten, step-grandchildren; nineteen, grandchildren; twenty-one, step great grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernest Mouton and the former Paula Menard; one son, Sherman Lee Mouton and two brothers Clenes and Lovelace Mouton .

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m.; Friday, October 30, from 8:00 a.m. until services.
