Pierre Vernest "Creo" Guidry

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 at a 2 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church honoring the life of Pierre Vernest Guidry, 71, who died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Crowley Rehab Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Donald Leger officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Pearly A. Guidry of Morse; one brother, Raymond Guidry of Kaplan; and one sister, Geneva "Jane" Toups of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Guidry and the former Marguerite Dartez; two brothers, Dudley and Clifton Guidry; one nephew, Robert Guidry; and one brother-in-law, Herbert "Herb" Toups.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, November 8, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
