Mrs. Effie L. Sonnier

December 6, 1916 — November 15, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Mrs. Effie L. Sonnier, 92, who died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by one sister, Ella Mae Mire of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emelien LeMaire and the former Adeline Rung; six brothers, John "Guy" LeMaire, Jasper "Pue" LeMaire, Jessie "Toot" LeMaire, Clemile "Bee" LeMaire, Frank "Beb" LeMaire, and Emelian "Junior" LeMaire; one sister, Lucille "Cot" Romero; her first husband, Minos Sonnier; her second husband, Mayance Hebert; and her son, David Sonnier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 12 p.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
