Arlene Campbell Troost

September 9, 1922 — November 19, 2009

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at a 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Arlene Campbell Troost, 87, who died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Reverend Pres Riley officiated the service.

Mrs. Troost was born in Patterson, New Jersey; she relocated from Florida to Louisiana in 1997 to unite with her sons and six grandsons. Mrs. Troost was a mother of four, a homemaker and devout Christian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville.

She is survived by a daughter, Arlene Sutherland of New Port Richey, Florida, and two sons, Stephen Lawrence Troost of Kenner, Louisiana and John Robert Troost of Akron, Ohio. She will be remembered by ten grandchildren and a growing group of great grandchildren.
