Mrs. Presley Gladys Trahan

March 2, 1921 — November 26, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Gladys Trahan, 88, who died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen and her husband Richard Abshire of Abbeville; three sisters, Effie B. Meaux of West Melbourne, Florida, Velta B. Lege and Nelda B. Faulk, both of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Broussard and the former Oceana Schexnider;
her husband, Presley Trahan; one sister, Gussie Greene; and one brother, Wilfred Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 28, from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession departs for church.
