Oscar "Pete" Duhon

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Oscar "Pete" Duhon, 91, who died Monday, November 30, 2009 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Yolande Mary Simon Duhon of Kaplan; two stepsons, Merlin J. Cormier of Carencro and Darsen W. Cormier of Kaplan; one stepdaughter, Lucinda Marie Cormier of Houston, Texas; two brothers, R.J. Duhon and Dudley Duhon, both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Irby Gaspard, Gussie Benoit and Helen Duhon, all of Lake Charles; seven step-grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lurline Duhon; one stepdaughter; two stepsons; four brothers; and three sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, December 2, from 8 a.m. until services.
