Irene Lagrange

December 18, 1921 — December 19, 2009

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Irene LaGrange, 88, who died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Simien officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Curtis LaGrange of Maurice; four daughters, Jeanette Blanchard and husband Danny of Maurice, Priscilla Delhomme and husband Tommy of Maurice, Annette Richard and husband Brian of Maurice and Shirley Benton of Rayne; a sister, Hazel Harrington of Nederland, TX; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George LaGrange; parents, Albert and Lorena Falcon Trahan; two brothers, Leewood and Alton Trahan; two sisters, Enola Leger and Mildred Lejunie; and a son-in-law, Mervine Benton.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
