Louella Delcambre

June 16, 1915 — December 21, 2009

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Louella Delcambre, 94, who died Monday, December 21, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery with her grandson, Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating the services.

Mrs. Delcambre was a member of the Ladies Alter Socity.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth L. Delcambre and wife Nell and Randy P. Delcambre and wife Patricia; a step daughter, Earline LeBlanc Baudoin and husband "Beau"; two sisters, Lucille Bernard and Vernon Sellers; sister-in-laws, Cecile Mayard and Nola Meyers; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loleste J. Delcambre; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Olivier and Marie Richard Mayard; a son, Rudy L. Delcambre; three brothers, Notley Mayard, Curtis Meyers and Ira Mayard; and a sister, Margaret Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Wednesday December, 23, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
