Alphonse Guidry

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Alphonse Guidry, 76, who died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Crowley Rehab Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Pastor Kelly Vigo officiating the services.

Mr Guidry was a lifelong resident of vermilion parish, having farmed near Gueydan for 23 years. He also worked and retired with 24 years from the LA Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his three sons, Erwin Guidry and his wife, Janice of Mamou, Wade Guidry of Malaysia and Aaron Guidry and his wife, Anna of Lake Charles; one daughter, Donna Trahan of Kaplan; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Enice Guidry; and one sister, Beatrice Dubois.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, January 5, from 9 a.m. until services.
