Sadie Noel Guidry

August 16, 1917 — January 9, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Sadie Noel Guidry, 92, who died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Randall Moreau officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Ron Guidry and his wife, Euna Poole of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Etta G. Langlinais of Cow Island; two brothers, Olton "Nick" Noel of Perry and Lawrence "Snow" Noel of Perry; two sisters, Gertrude LaBorde of Marksville and Mable Lyons of Jackson, Mississippi; one grandchild, Benjamin Guidry of Houston, Texas; and one great grandchild, Caileigh Noel Guidry of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Minos Guidry; parents, Louis Henry Noel and the former Elizabeth Griffin; seven brothers, Whitney, Elwood, Walter, Henry, Harold, RC, and Wilford Noel; and three sisters, Elda Reed Jeanmard, Stella Leggette and Ella Mae Theriot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., with rosaries being prayed at 6 p.m and 8 p.m.; Monday, January 11, from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m when the procession will depart for the church.
