Amie Boutte Shelvin
October 13, 1923 — January 31, 2010
She was a great mother, great grandmother and great friend. Amie was very dedicated to her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.
Amie was an active member in church and in the Eastern Star Organization.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Brad Guillory officiating the services. Pallbears will be her sons, Glen Shelvin, Patrick Shelvin, Jeffery Shelvin and Daryl Shervin, Jabori Huntsberry and Andrew Petry III. Honorary pallbearers will be Deion Hill, Justin Petry, Glen Shelvin, Jr. and Wendell Henderson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Hazel Ruth Shelvin and Linda Green; four sons, Glen Shelvin, Patrick Shelvin, Jeffery Shelvin and Daryl Shervin all of Abbeville and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, the late Mabry Boutte and her mother, the late Mathilde Pradier; and her late husband, Gordy Shelvin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, February 4, 2010 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
