Eujay Joseph Suire

September 14, 1933 — February 11, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Eujay Joseph Suire, 76, who died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by one son, Russell James Suire of Forked Island; four daughters, Nancy S. Landry of Kaplan, Barbara S. Gaspard, Brenda S. Summers and Penny L. Landry, all of Forked Island; three brothers, Uland Suire of Monroe, Preston Suire of Kaplan and Albert Suire of Kaplan; one sister, Lydia Suire of Abbeville; thirteen grandchildren, Shelby, Blake and Rhet Suire, Timothy, Rodney and April Courville, Crystal Conner, Carissa Meaux, Timberly Guidry, Jennifer Pommier, Kayler Hancock and Stevens and Trastina Landry; and sixteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deluce Suire and the former Azetile Primeaux; his wife, Gurdy Gaspard Suire; one son, Rodney Suire; one brother, Loveless Suire; and one grandson, Chester A. Courville Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, February 13, from 8 a.m. until services.
