Abbeville- Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21, 2006 at a 11:00a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Church honoring the life of Wiley Howell, 74, who died July 19, 2006 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery in Cow Island with Reverend William Blanda officiating the services.
Wiley was a retired salesman in the oilfield industry. He also served as a Vermilion Parish Police Juror from June 1976 until December 1983.
He is survived by four daughters, Debbie Garrot and her husband Louis of Abbeville, Diana Ledet and her husband Carl of Abbeville, Michelle Andrus and her husband Philip of Abbeville and Jackie Howell of Abbeville; grandchildren, Miranda Broussard, Brodie Broussard, Tricia Andrus, Baron Andrus, Christi Mahfouz, Bennett LeMaire, Wiley Ledet, Brandi Ledet, Carl Ledet, Jr., and Christofer Howell; great-grandchildren, Bryce Scalisi, Ann Claire Broussard and Alexis Mahfouz, III. A special friend, Lou LeBlanc of Abbeville; two brothers, Charles Howell of Nederland, Texas and Glen Pere of Dennison, Texas; and one sister, Dorthey Watson of Abbeville;
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine S. Howell; his parents, Wiley Woodie Howell, Sr. and the former Ima Miia; and one brother, William Reed Howell.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, July 20th from 11:00a.m. until 10:00p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00p.m.; Friday, July 21st from 8:00a.m. until time of services.
