Alcee "Bokin" Harrington

He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Harrington, Darren Toups, Devrick Toups, Beau Harrington, Mitchel Broussard, and Joshua Toups. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew and Jordan Toups.
He is survived by one son, Richard Harrington and his wife Mary Ann of Kaplan; one daughter, Beverly Toups and her husband Donald of Lafayette; two sisters, Pauline "Noon" Simon of Lafayette and Margaret Gaspard of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Randy Harrington and his wife Stephanie, Darlene Broussard and her husband Terry, Amy Broussard, Darren Toups and his wife Romney, and Devrick Toups and his wife Erica; ten great grandchildren, Leigha Briolo and her husband Chuck, Beau Harrington, Jill Broussard, Mitchel Broussard, Alerie Broussard, Adel Broussard, Joshua Toups, Matthew Toups, Jordan Toups and Jonah Toups; one great grandchild, Remi Briolo; and two step-great grandchildren, Courtney and Colby Dupre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia G. Harrington; his parents, Claude Harrington and the former Alphonsene Touchet; three brothers, Seva Harrington Sr., Deussard Harrington and Sevarin Harrington; three sisters, Avie Nunez, Avia Campbell and Eve Simon; and one granddaughter, Jill Harrington.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, February 18, from 8 a.m. until services.
