Raywood Joseph Landry

January 24, 1931 — February 18, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Raywood Joseph Landry, 79, who died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Landry of New Iberia; four sons, Robert Landry of New Iberia, Larry Landry of Erath, Russell Landry of New Iberia and John Landry of New Iberia; two daghters, Sandra Duhon of New Iberia and Debra Kathy Herbote of Minnesota; two sisters, Eunice Trahan of Abbeville and Anna Mae Sellers of Abbeville; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angeus and Cecile Cornor Landry; a son, Elwood Ray Landry; daughter, Sara Ann Weber; and two brothers, Roy Landry and Curley Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
