Abbeville- Funeral services will be held Monday, July 24, 2006 at a 2:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Church honoring the life of Marie Griffin Ledet, 85, who died Friday, July 21, 2006 at Abbeville General Hospital. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Bordelon officiating the services She is survived by two daughters, Janice Choate and her husband, Derrel and Carolyn Stoute and her husband, Gerald both of Abbeville; two sons, Steven Ledet and Terry Ledet, both of Abbeville, one sister Mrs. Dennis “Mable” Thibodeaux of Berwick; 6 grandchildren, Kevin Choate, Clayton Choate, Wade Choate, Stephanie Ledet Verrett, Jeremy Ledet and Lynette Stoute Falgout. 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Ledet, an infant daughter, Ellena Ledet, 2 grandsons, Eric Choate and Gary Stoute, her father, James Griffin , her mother, Angela LeBlanc Griffin, and 2 sisters Renette Lee, and Josephine “Joe” Detraz The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Sunday, July 23rd from 9:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00p.m.; and Monday, July 24th from 8:00a.m. until time of services.
