Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2010 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Annie Mae Landry Simon, 86, who died Friday, February 19, 2010 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Rodney Simon of Kaplan; one son, Roland Simon and his wife, Barbara of Kaplan; one daughter, Kay and her husband, Larry Gaspard of Kaplan; four grandchildren, David and Christine Simon, Dustin and Spencer Gaspard, all of Kaplan; five great grandchildren, Kalyn Simon, Rory Robinson, Tre' Hollier, Kali Gaspard and Ethan Gaspard, all of Kaplan; and one great-great grandchild, Emmitt Robinson of Kaplan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eraste Landry and the former Edia Menard; one son, Russell Simon; two brothers; and one sister.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Monday, February 22, from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
