Velma Eve Hebert Duhon

December 20, 1919 — March 3, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Velma Eve Hebert Duhon, 90, who died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend Gregory Simien officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Denry Duhon, Danny Duhon, Dallas Duhon, Damien Duhon, Ian Willis, Russel Life and Jeremy Moore. Gift bearers will be Vanessa Duhon, Naomie Moore and Sarah Life.

She is survived by her four children, Paul Ronald Duhon of Meaux, Herman Duhon and his wife, Lynn of Sulphur, Felicia Duhon of Opelousas and Charlene Gossen and her husband, Jeff of Lafayette; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas P. Duhon; parents, Pierre Hebert and the former Noami Fabre; one brother, Wilbert Hebert and two sisters, Florence Baumgardner and Louella Romero.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, March 5, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services
