Joseph Royce Fontenot Sr.

August 28, 1939 — March 2, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Joseph Royce Fontenot Sr., 70, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Texas. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cecile G. Fontenot of Kaplan; three sons, Jerry J. Fontenot and his wife, Theresa of Kaplan, Joseph Royce Fontenot Jr. and his wife, Kay of Kaplan and Farrel P. Fontenot and his wife, Annette of Tampa, Flordia; one daughter, Cheryl F. and her husband, Russell Bufford of Kaplan; one sister, Velma Henry of Kaplan; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Fontenot and the former Elia Schexneider; and one son, Chad Wade Fontenot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 9 a.m. until services on Saturday, March 6, 2010. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 6 p.m.
