William "Tommie" Anderson

July 20, 1938 — March 9, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of William Thomas Anderson, 71, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty LeMaire Anderson of Forked Island; one daughter, Marcelle and her husband, Roger Touchet of Forked Island; one brother, James Carl Anderson and his wife, Wilma of Powell, Tennessee; four sisters, Lela M. Jedlicka, Norma and her husband, Nyle Counts, Clara and her husband Kenn Rogers and Barbara and her husband Ken Green, all of Maryville, Tennessee; one halfbrother, Sam Anderson and his wife Lori of McMinnville, Tennessee; and two halfsisters, Mary Dollman and her husband, Dale and Sarah Stevens, all of Maryville, Tennessee; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carl Anderson and the former Ruth Elizabeth Key; and one sister, Hazel Younce.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
