Curtis "Neg" Borel

November 24, 1934 — March 20, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2010 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church honoring the life of Curtis Borel, 75, who died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Donald Leger officiating the services.

He is survived by his companion, Rita Romero of Kaplan; one son, Edward Borel of Crowley; one daughter, Roxanne and her husband, Raymond Bourque of Crowley; four brothers, Rodolphe and Herman Borel, both of Erath, Marion Borel of Abbeville and Nolan Borel of Erath; five sisters, Shirley Allen of Houston, Texas, Ruby Westerbuhr of League City, Texas, Rosemary LaCaze of Centerville, Lucille Hebert of Abbeville and Vickie Borel of Erath; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Borel; parents, Lawerence Borel and the former Laura Mae Boudreaux; two sons, Pervis and Kenneth Borel; two brothers, Lawerence Borel Jr. and Roland Borel.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 11 a.m. until Monday, March 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church service. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday.
