Mass of Christian Burial in St.
James Church in Esther
honoring the life of Etta
Primeaux Bernard, 85, who died
August 16, 2006 at her
daughters home in Abbeville.
She will be laid to rest at
Esther Community Cemetery
with Reverend Joseph
Stemmann officiating the
services.
Etta was a member of the St.
James Altar Society. She taught
catechism for over twenty years
teaching both high school and
elementary school children.
She is survived by three
daughters, Dorethea D. Brown
and her husband Gayle of Belle
Chasse, Deanna D. Gill of Erath
and Beverly Bernard Choate of
Abbeville; one sister, Lucille Foti
of Lavonia; eleven grandchildren;
eighteen great grandchildren;
and four great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Raywood
Bernard, Sr.; parents, Lawrence
Primeaux and the former
Alphosine Broussard; two sons,
Raywood Bernard, Jr. and
Johnny Bernard;
granddaughter, Linda Sue Brown;
three sisters, Laurence Breaux,
Mary Mae Dartez and Beulah
Guidry; and five brothers, Nelson
Primeaux, Manson Primeaux,
Theodore Primeaux, Walter
Primeaux and Ollie Primeaux.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Friday, August 18th from 12:00
p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a
rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; reopen
Saturday, August 19th from 8:00
a.m. until time of services.
