John Roland Hebert

July 14, 1931 — March 24, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of John Roland Hebert, 78, who died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hebert, Jr., Aaron Scott, Travis Hebert, Joshua Hebert, Bryant Hebert and Ryan Hebert. Honorary pallbearer Nathan Hebert.

He is survived by his wife, Jane B. Hebert of Maurice; seven children; John Kenneth Hebert of Abbeville, Cheryl Ann Nicoll and her husband, Mark of Youngsville, Kerry Hebert and his wife, Peggy of Kaplan, Daniel Hebert, Sr. and his wife, Mona of Abbeville, Donna Pellerin and husband, Darrel of Kaplan, Clint Hebert and his wife, Anita of GA and Jody Hebert and his wife, Tonya of Maurice; three sisters, Grace Cormier, Emma Savoy and Alice Rigsby; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael Hebert and the former Laura Bourque; one son, Troy Raphael Hebert; and siblings, Wilber Hebert, Wilmer Hebert, Louise Stelly, Leona Ryder, Raymond Hebert and Ruby Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
