Yoland Istre Broussard

March 2, 1931 — March 23, 2010

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Yoland Istre Broussard, 79, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Glenn J. Broussard and his wife, Cynthia of Scott; four daughters, Joana Faye Broussard of Kaplan, Sherry Broussard of Gueydan, Debra and her husband Dennis Landry of Jennings and Phyllis Klumpp of Crowley; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Istre and the former Eugena Broussard; brother, Howard Istre; and sister, Juanita Faulk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, March 26, from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
