Thecla M. St. Romain

September 25, 1933 — April 3, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Thecla St. Romain, 76, who died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at her residence in Lafayette.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Carl Benton officiating the services.

She is survived by her children, Diane Faye Broussard, Marshall Raye Broussard, Anna Therese Bartlett and Angela Marie Boudreaux; step children, Lynn Marie Lewis, Grady Duckworth, Jr., and Troy Duckworth; brother, Malcolm St. Romain, Sr.; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Plauche J. St. Romain, Sr. and Helen Ortego St. Romain; and a brother, P.J. St. Romain, Jr.

My legacy to my family and friends:

Psalm 3:3-6 Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues thightly. Write them deep within your heart. If you want a favor with both God and man, and a reputation of good judgement and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.
In eveything you do, PUT GOD FIRST, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
