Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of J.C. Harrington, 91, who died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Brad Guillory officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Larry Harrington, Farrel Harrington Sr., Wilbert LeBlanc, Doies Gaspard Sr., Doies Gaspard Jr. and Jonathan Harrington.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shirley F. Harrington of Abbeville; three sons, Charles Larry Harrington of Abbeville, Farrel Harrington and his wife, Margarite of Abbeville and Keith Harrington of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Alberta and her husband, Sterling Hernandez of Maurice, Judy and her husband, Doies Gaspard Sr. of Abbeville and Ginger and her husband, Wilbert LeBlanc of Kaplan; three step-children, Barbara and her husband, Rodney Baudoin of Abbeville, Dale Faulk and his wife, Brenda of Houston, Texas and Keith Faulk and his wife, Sandra of Abbeville; thirty-two grandchildren; sixty-five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; and fifteen step-great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mazie Mire Harrington; his parents, Eli Harrington and the former Augusta LeMaire; six brothers, Leo, Wilmer, Iris, Whitney, Callie and Ray Harrington; and two grandchildren, Lawren Hailey Decuire and Cherise Nicole Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, April 5, from 8 a.m. until services.
