Rodney Mire

August 10, 1959 — April 15, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Rodney Mire, 50, who died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Ron Andrus officiating the services.

Rodney was a True Deacon at Restoration Church in Lafayette, Louisiana since 1989. He also worked for Miracle II in Lafayette for the past seven years.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Mire of Kaplan; three brothers, John, James and Albert Mire Jr., all of Kaplan; one sister, Joycelyn Mire of Kaplan; four nephews, Brian Marceaux, J.B. Mire Jr., Joshua Mire and Samuel Mire; six nieces, Clarissa Harrington, Kim M. Moore, Sandi Hernandez, Kristy Mire, Tara Mire and Caitlyn Mire; and eleven great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Mire Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 17, from 9 a.m. until services.
