Gladys Broussard Dubois

February 3, 1926 — April 22, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Gladys Broussard Dubois, 84, who died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Brad Guillory officiating the services. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey Dubois, Andrew Dubois, Benjamin Dubois and Shay Dubois, great nephew, Andre Hebert and nephew, Kirby DuBois.

Lectors will be niece, Sharan Bailey Sapkota and niece/godchild, Cathy Touchet Hebert. Music will be performed by her great nephew, Holden Greene.

Gladys was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by her son, Larry Dubois and his wife, Janet Chiasson of Abbeville; grandsons, Jeffrey Dubois of Abbeville, Andrew Dubois of Abbeville, Benjamin Dubois and his wife, Lyndsay of Lafayette and Shay Dubois of Abbeville; two brothers, Alton Broussard of Abbeville and Lauris Broussard of Abbeville; and one sister, Joyce Hebert of Scott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eluse "Babe" Dubois; parents, Augustin Broussard and the former Palmyre Trahan; two brothers, Emery Broussard and Allen Broussard; and three sisters, Lydia "Lydie" St. Amant, Elmae Touchet and Laura Burch.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, April 26, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
