Marie Effie "Granny" Racca

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Marie Effie Racca, 74, who died Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Kendal Faulk officiating the services.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Guidry of Kaplan; four grandsons, Troy Guidry, Jeremy Lege, Jonathan Lege and Gabrieal Romero, all of Kaplan; two brothers, Edes Racca of Port Arthur, Texas and Wilsey Racca of Texas; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Guidry; and one sister, Joyce Racca.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, May 17, from 8 a.m. until services.
