Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Joan Denise Cormier, 47, who died Monday, May 17, 2010 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Broussard of Maurice and Brett Broussard of Abbeville; two daughters, Holly Broussard of Oberlin and Heidi Broussard of Abbeville; parents, Thomas and Dulse Cormier; four brothers, Tommy Cormier of Utah, Bobby Cormier of Abbeville, John Cormier of Abbeville and Darrell Cormier of Abbeville; three sisters, Mary McCubbins of Houma, Debra Frederick of Abbeville and Tammy Thibodeaux of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cable of Abbeville and Jaxon Broussard of Maurice; and the father of her children, Steven Broussard of Abbeville.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
