Raymond Hebert

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Raymond Joseph Hebert, 71, who died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Comeaux, Justin Goodwin, Malcolm Sonnier, Laxcy Vincent, Steven Peppel, Larry Primeaux, Roland Hebert and Richard Hebert.

Raymond served in the National Guard for 8 years. After 35 years of employment with M.I. SWACO, he retired in 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Duhon Hebert of Kaplan; one son, Ricky P. Comeaux of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Tammy Comeaux Vincent and her husband, Laxcy of Prairieville, Sandra Comeaux Perrin of Youngsville and Mandy Hebert Sonnier and her husband, Malcolm of Mandeville; his mother, Louisette Hebert of Abbeville; two brothers, Roland and Richard Hebert, both of Abbeville; five sisters, Ruby Primeaux, Rosabelle Stansbury and Shirley Broussard, all of Abbeville, Rita Mae Marceaux of Kaplan and Rena Duhon of Maurice; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren, Lindsey, Justin, Lauren, Cade, Lacey, Peyton, Matthew, Micah and Maggie; and one great grandson, Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his father, Whitney Hebert Jr.; and his brother, Renis Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, May 20, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
