Rida Menard Hollier

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Rida Menard Hollier, 75, who died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Larry Hollier II and his wife, Tammy of Kaplan; two grandsons, Tré and Trevor Hollier, both of Kaplan; two brothers, Kenneth Menard and his wife, Billie of Kaplan and Howard Menard of Kaplan; six sisters, Nola and her husband Pat Menard of Abbeville, Agnes Foti of New Iberia, Eva Harrington of Patterson, Mable Menard of St. Martinville, Lucille Barras of St. Martinville and Florine Rockenbaugh of Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hollier Sr.; her parents, Arthur Menard and the former Estelle Dubois; three brothers, Paul, Arthur Jr. and Frank Menard; and four sisters, Azelie Willis, Florence Landry, Aline Keller and Hazel Menard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 21, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
