Dorothy Mae Frederick Broussard

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Dorothy Mae Frederick Broussard, 77, who died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Christopher Broussard, Floyd Miller, Jr., Patches Broussard, Cade Baudoin, Marc Broussard and Bryce Anselmi. Honorary pallbearers will be Dolores Broussard, Andrew Broussard, Aaron Miller and Clint Menard.

She is survived by three sons, Larry G. Broussard, Jr. of Abbeville, Steven Broussard of Broussard and Glen Dale Broussard of Crowley; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Broussard of Erath, Debra Miller of Abbeville and Olita Baudoin of Abbeville; sixteen grandchildren; and thirty-one great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gene Broussard, Sr; one son, Timothy "Timbo" Broussard; one grandson, Bostey Broussard; parents, Felix Frederick, Sr. and the former Olita Hebert; four brothers, Sidney Frederick, Sr., Edwin Frederick, Sr., Harris Frederick, Sr. and Felix "Prof" Frederick, Jr.; and one sister, Rena Theriot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
