Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Kaplan Baptist Church honoring the life of Cecil Anthony Sistrunk, 53, who died Monday, May 24, 2010 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharron Langlinais Sistrunk of Cow Island; one son, Anthony Sistrunk and his wife, Angela of Kaplan; two daughters, Angela Sistrunk of Youngsville and Alexandra Sistrunk of Cow Island; four grandchildren, Nathan and Molly Sistrunk and Addison and Owen Stelly; one brother, Floyd Sistrunk of Midland; and five sisters, Sharla Cope of Houston, Texas, Peggy Ganus of Chico, Texas, Sharon Mouton of Kaplan, Patty Sistrunk of Houston, Texas and Penny Hargrave of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Sistrunk; and his stepbrother, Ivan Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Wednesday, May 26, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
