Grace Picard Trahan

September 8, 1925 — June 9, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Grace Picard Trahan, 84, who died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at her Residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Karl Trahan, Sr., Bryan Dooley, Lawrence Abshire, Newbay Comeaux, Loybert Picard and George Roane, IV. Honorary pallbearers will be Ian Trahan and Karl Trahan, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Clomare "Bud" Trahan of Maurice; one son, Karl W. Trahan, Sr. and his wife, Miriam LaFleur Trahan of Maurice; one daughter, Linda Gail Trahan Falcon and husband, Benny of Farmersville; two brothers Loybert Picard and wife, Anna Lee of Maurice; Huey Picard and wife, JoAnn of Abbeville; grandchildren, Karl W. Trahan, Jr.of Lamoore, CA; Ian B. Trahan of Lafayette; Cheri Trahan Roane of Lafayette and Chris Falcon of Denver, CO and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Asa Picard; mother, Cecile Morvant Picard; five brothers, Dewey, Samuel, Lewis, Shelton and Ashby Picard; and one sister, Ada Baudoin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary will be prayed at noon.
