Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Kaplan Baptist Church honoring the life of Marie B. Broussard, 100, who died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services.
She is survived by one son, Robert Earl Broussard and his wife, Jeanette of Willis, Texas; three daughters, Marie Bernice Dunaway of Fannett, Texas, Helen Belle Perrin of Kaplan and Beatrice Ann and her husband, Floyd Weber of Kaplan; ten grandchildren, Nancy Dunaway Reed, Matthew Dunaway, Terry Dunaway, Kathryn Broussard Hargrave, Steven Broussard, Michael Perrin, Patricia Perrin, David Perrin, Rebecca Weber Crawford and Mark Weber; twenty-one great grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Broussard; one daughter, Effie Mae Broussard; two sons-in-law, Gerald Dunaway and Albert Perrin; and one great grandchild, Joshua Wayne Perrin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.; Sunday, June 13, from 9 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
