Elise "Toot" Ledet Harrington

March 4, 1913 — June 18, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Marie Elise Ledet Harrington, 97, who died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Floyd Harrington of Abbeville and James D. Harington and his wife, Shirley of Gonzales; a daughter, Florence White and husband, Walter of Houma; three sisters, Anite Babineaux, Lucy Guidry and Audrey Broussard all of Abbeville; sixteen grandchildren; fourty-one great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Ledet and the former Laurentia Bergeron; husband, Savy Harrington; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Morris Ledet; and three sisters, Ella Frederick, Harriet LeBlanc and Laura Frederick.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
