Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 07,2006 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Rene's. Broussard, Jr., 53, who died October 03, 2006 at his residence in Baton Rouge. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery with Reverend William- Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Adrien Broussard, Mike Broussard, Keith Melebeck, Mike LaBorde, Steve Elliott and Tommy Wiltz. Rene' loved the marsh, cooking and eating, red wine, and sailing, but most of all he loved his children, family and friends. He was a good man with a kind heart and a loud laugh. He is dearly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Joan Hunt 'of Baton Rouge; one son, Adrien Hunt Broussard of Portland, Oregon; one daughter, Gabriel Hunt Broussard of Eugene, Oregon; one brother, Michael Broussard and his wife Theresa; one sister, Beth Melebeck and her husband Keith; and nieces and nephews, Corey Melebeck, Aaron Melebeck and Angelle Broussard Schaefer; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene' Sidney Broussard, Sr. and the former Mary Lynn Moresi. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Friday, October 6th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 7th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
