Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jessie Paul Feverjean, 77, who died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. JC was a member of the Local 112 in Lake Charles from 1953 until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Feverjean of Kaplan; three daughters, Drucilla Becker of Kaplan, Jessica LeMaire and her husband, Wayne of Kaplan, and Joetta Gunn and her husband, Randall of Youngsville; one stepson, Bruce Broussard of Kaplan; one stepdaughter, Sandra Matthews and her husband, Whitney of Abbeville; sisters, Hazel Broussard, Nola Landry, and Lonie LeMaire, all of Kaplan and Eula Mae Lormand and her husband, Lurcy of Crowley; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexon Feverjean and the former Margaret Gaspard; five brothers, Willie Suire, Dalton Feverjean Sr., Lovelace Feverjean, Roy Feverjean and Doris Feverjean; son-in-law, Butch Becker; niece, Mary Lee Gnau; nephew, Garland Duhon; and two great nephews, Seth Melancon and Chris Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 2 p.m. until services on Thursday, June 24. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
