Peggy Lee Harris Arabie

October 18, 1945 — July 1, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Peggy Lee Harris Arabie, 64, who joined her heavenly father on Thursday, July 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Mark Broussard officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Beau Dore, Brad Duhon, Cade Touchet, Kyle Touchet, Nicolas Touchet, Kerry White, Jace Hebert and Scott Herpin.

Peggy was a beautiful person and will be dearly missed by many friends and family members. She served as an inspiration for others by maintaining her courage and faith throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Dale Arabie of Abbeville; one son, Keith L. Arabie and his wife, Rhonda of Chalmette; five daughters, Bridget R. Arabie and spouse, Scott Herpin of Kaplan, Gina M. Romero and her husband, Jay of Maurice, Denise R. Arabie and spouse, Jace Hebert of Abbeville, Natalie Q. Arabie of Abbeville and Dodie L. Bischoff and husband, Edward of Metairie; and four half sisters, Mollie Doughten and her husband, Chuck; Sheila Harris, Gloria (Button) Harris and Nancy Harris all of Union City, TN; fourteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.C. Harris and Juanita Lee Coker; and three sisters, Anita Overstreet, Rhonda Overstreet and Gail Harris Morris.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, July 2, 2010 from 12:00 noon until 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to the numerous friends, neighbors, fellow church members and Heart of Hospice who brought final moments of joy and support during Peggy's last months.
