Lionel Primeaux

December 9, 1918 — June 30, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Lionel Primeaux, 91, who died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. He was a veteran of the United States Army who served our country during World War II. A member of the American Legion Post 29 where he was active for many years. He was a self employed carpenter for over 40 years. He was a parishioner of St. Theresa the Child Jesus Church.

He is survived by three sons,Lionel Primeaux, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Lewisville, TX, Rodney Paul Primeaux and his wife, Eva of Abbeville and Allen James Primeaux and his wife, Cynthia of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Mitzi Primeaux Romanelli of Colorado Springs, CO, Nichole Primeaux-O'Bryan and her husband, Todd of Abbeville and Haley Primeaux of Abbeville; and two great grandchildren, Thomas Romanelli of College Station, TX and Crystal Romanelli of Colorado Springs, CO.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loula Mae Falgout; and his parents, Donat and Marguerite Primeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, July 2, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
