Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Raymond Stelly, 67, who died Monday, July 5, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Mr. Francis Plaisance officiating the services. Pallbearers include Joseph Raymond Stelly, Ronald Stelly, Randall Stelly, Brian Regan, Kendal Primeaux and Harold Marshall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brody Mouton, Jared Stelly, Darrid Romero, Wyatt Stelly, Colin Stelly, Joseph Raymond Stelly III and Hunter Primeaux.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bertrand Stelly of Abbeville; four sons, Joseph Raymond Stelly and wife Leah of Abbeville, Ronald Paul Stelly and wife LaKayla of Crowley, David Anthony Stelly of Abbeville and Randall Jude Stelly of Abbeville; four daughters, Christine Mergist of Abbeville, Vicky Stelly Regan and husband Brian of Crowley, Susan Stelly Marshall and husband Harold of Abbeville and Ashley Stelly Primeaux and husband Kendal of Kaplan; a sister, Maudry Marie Stelly of Abbeville; and twenty-two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Odra Stelly; mother, Irma Miller Stelly; a brother, Oran Stelly; and a infant brother and sister.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
